tDCS with WET for PTSD - Randomized Clinical Trial
The objective of this project is to test the synergistic effects of combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with written exposure therapy (WET) for the treatment of PTSD in military service members and veterans with mild traumatic brain injury.

Clinical Trials and Biostatistics
In addition to leading my own research, I also collaborate on clinical trial as a biostatistician, offering consultation on study design and data analysis. I am currently involved in over 10 projects investigating novel psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, and non-invasive brain stimulation interventions for PTSD, suicide, alcohol, anger, pain, TBI, and tinnitus.

tDCS with WET: Pilot Study
This was a translational pilot project that included preclinical and clinical studies examining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a therapeutic approach for the treatment for PTSD. The human study involved tDCS with written exposure therapy (WET) for PTSD.

Esketamine with PE for PTSD: Open Label Pilot Study
This pilot study evaluates the feasibility, acceptability, and effects of a combined treatment of intranasal esketamine concurrently delivered with massed prolonged exposure (PE) for PTSD.

Predictors of PTSD Treatment Response and Impact of Trauma Polymorbidity
As primary aims of clinical trials are addressed, secondary questions often emerge. This line of research focuses on leveraging large-scale datasets to investigate factors that predict PTSD treatment success and the influence of commonly comorbid problems (TBI, sleep, substance misuse) associated with trauma.

CBD with PE: Pilot Study
The primary aims of the study were to examine the feasibility, safety, PTSD symptom reductions associated with cannabidiol (CBD) among individuals receiving prolonged exposure (PE); and to evaluate biological and physiological markers related to CBD and PTSD.
